Preparing your Mana Outrigging experience
Our Story
More than just a club, we are a family — an 'ohana — united by the rhythm of the paddle and our love for the open water.
Welcome to Mana Outrigging Melbourne, formed in 2018. 'Mana Outrigging Melbourne' fosters the mana of the traditional Polynesian sport of outrigger canoe racing. Based at the Sandridge Life Saving Club in Port Melbourne, we paddle on Port Phillip Bay, the Yarra River and beyond.
We are a small, friendly and inclusive club, welcoming paddlers of all ages and abilities. Whether you are new to the sport or an experienced paddler, we have a range of programs to suit your needs. We offer regular training sessions, social paddles and competitive racing opportunities. Our focus is on participation, teamwork and fun. We are a club that values community and we are proud to be part of the outrigger canoeing family.

The principles that guide every stroke we take.
Fostering a supportive, inclusive family where every paddler belongs. We welcome people of all backgrounds, ages, abilities, and experience levels—our diversity makes us stronger, on and off the water.
Sharing a deep, infectious love for the sport of outrigger canoeing and the open ocean.
Honouring the traditions of paddling, and showing respect for each other, our equipment, and the environment.
Striving for personal and team growth, pushing our limits together, and celebrating every achievement.
We're proud to be part of a wider community dedicated to water sports and safety.

Sandridge Life Saving Club is our proud home base and a vital partner in our paddling community.
To be an inclusive volunteer organisation, providing a safe and friendly environment that enriches the lives of their members and the local community.
Ready to pick up a paddle? We're always looking for new members to join the family.
